Discover the main Italian cities with this organized Italian tour. It starts from Rome and then go on to Florence, Pisa, the incredible villages of the Cinque Terre and Venice.
The Italian tour is organized by one of our partners and it is one of their great classics so... Let's discover it in details day by day:
Day 1 and day 2 - Rome
The Italian tour could only start from the Capital of Italy, the eternal city: Rome.
This marvellous city is full of historic monuments, museums, churches and breathtaking squares and views. It would take weeks to see everything but in 2 days it is possible to visit the main spots and breath the Roman atmosphere.
The tour starts with Castel Sant’Angelo, and goes on with the smallest country of the World... With the world’s largest church: the Vatican City.
Here, you will find the amazing church of San Pietro, the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, where many Renaissance artists left their mark.
In the first 2 days of this Italian tour you will also discover the famous Pantheon, the magnificent Coliseum, the Archbasilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, you will make a wish throwing a coin into the Trevi Fountain, and, last but not least, taste the Italian cuisine in a typical Roman “osteria” and eat a tasty italian ice cream!
Day 3 and day 4 - From Rome to Florence
The third day of the Italian tour will bring you to Florence, the birthplace of the Reinassance!
Florence became a world leader in art mostly thanks to the Medici family in the thirteenth century: Writers, poets, painters, and sculptors filled the streets of Florence with their masterpieces.
Florence belonged to geniuses like Raffaello, Michelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello, Dante, Petrarca, Boccaccio, Botticelli, Machiavelli, Galileo… Just to name a few!
You can admire numerous fine arts by these creators in the historical center of the Uffizi, and you can also walk up the hill where you can see the fanciful arch of Brunelleschi which dominates the city.
In Italy, art and beauty are always accompanied by great food, of course! When in Florence, remember to try the Florentine steak. Also, you could try Lampredotto... With a Chianti red wine glass.
Hope you’re not tired after dinner! Florence is a city with a great nightlife, in particular close to the Santa Croce area. Ready to party hard?
Day 5 - Cinque Terre, Pisa, Florence
A perfect Italian tour needs a stop to the beach too!
Grab your swimsuit, towel and sunscreen then, because after so much art it's time to refresh yourselves in a unique place you won’t find anywhere else in the world: Cinque Terre.
Five little towns with colorful houses, which can be found between the green mountains and end in the bluest sea you’ll have ever seen!
On the way back you’ll stop in the little University city of Pisa. Here you will pass through the ancient sea power of the middle ages to admire the most famous tower in the world with its inclination that has surprised the world for 1000 years: the Tower of Pisa.
Day 6 - From Florence to Venice
The day 6 of the Italian tour you will reach the beautiful and unique Venice.
It was one of the most powerful, rich and populated cities for centuries, dominating the mediterranean and the commercial routes to the orient!
Day 7 - Venice
Fall in love with this city that could well be an exhibition hall of the extraordinary. Venice is one of the most photographed places in the world: Bridges, Vaporettos and Gondolas are all waiting to be snapped!
Appreciate the Basilica of San Marco, whose Burano glasswork has obvious byzantine influence, as do the multicoloured little houses of Murano!
